What Is Working at Height Basic Training All About?
Working safely at height has become fundamental to the practice of planning and management of enhancing the safety awareness in working at heights. Working At Height Basic Training aim to reduce risks for tasks performed at heights by means of a safety and health control measure that shall be adhered to at all times.
Falls from heights or elevated platforms are the leading causes of accidents and fatalities in the general industry. Each year, a large number of workers are either killed or suffer major injuries as a result of falls at workplaces. Accidents involving falls are generally complex events frequently involving a variety of factors.
Fall protection is required whenever work is performed in an area of two meters and above. Fall arrest systems which include lifelines, body harnesses, and other associated equipment, are used when fall hazards are uncontrolled by passive or active means. These systems are designed to stop a free fall while limiting the forces imposed on the wearer.
Working At Height Training is developed to raise the awareness levels of workers on the potential risks when working at heights.
