Fire Fighting and ERP Training


The two (2) days comprehensive Fire Fighting and ERP Training course will develop on the skills of the participants in both theory and practical applications required in implementing the Fire Emergency Response Planning (Fire Drill).  Under the Bomba Act 1988 – Section 5 (1)(A), Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 Requirements, it is mentioned in the legal requirements that the Fire Emergency Response Plan which includes ERT,  is required to be written, documented, communicated and implemented at workplaces. The main concern of the Fire Emergency Response Plan is mainly on the protection of human lives and property losses. The training will be designed to be more practical-based in which participants will be exposed to self-implementing, establishing their own workplace procedures and response for any fire emergencies.  In conclusion,  participants will be able to understand on the basic concepts of Fire Emergency Response Planning and Emergency Response Team and will be able to plan the Fire Drills. 



At the end of this training, participants will be able to: 

  • Understand on the necessary steps to handle workplace fire emergencies which include Planning, Coordination and Implementations 
  • Understand related legal requirements which are OSHA Act 1994, Bomba Act 1988 – Section 5 (1)(A), ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 Requirements 
  • Understand all of the requirements on policymaking, organizing, and management responsibilities of the Fire Emergency Response Plan 
  • Understand on the hazards itself, Fire Sciences, Classes of Fire, Fire Alarm System, Fire Fighting Equipments and Extinguishers 
  • Understand and conduct Fire Emergency Evacuation Procedures, especially on Assembly Area locations, Escape Routes, Arrangements and Signage
