WHAT IS INITIAL ERGONOMIC RISK ASSESSMENT (ERA)?
The objectives of the Initial Ergonomics Risk Assessment are to assess the task requirement and working environment with respect to employees. Implementing an Initial Ergonomics Risk Assessment (ERA) can help the management to identify any issues or problems that may currently affect the worker’s health and productivity or that could cause potential hazardous at the workplace.

Scope of Work
- On-Site Gathering of Information of activities
- Pre-Assessment documentation gathering (accident investigation report, current policies and guidelines, existing controls, medical report, process flow and physical layout etc.);
- Onsite data collection (Questionnaires, interviews, onsite measurements, photo/video recording);
- Body Symptom Survey;
- Off-site Data Analysis and Report Preparation
- Documentation review;
- Data Analysis and Risk Rating; and
- Determining action plan.

- The training person who complete the ERA must ensure proper communication of the findings to the employer or his representative. The employer is responsible for ensuring that effective and timely control measure are applied to the hazard and communicated the result back to the affected employees.
